Make it G.R.E.A.T.

One of my mentors made me like a phrase from the Bible that says "if it is good and true, think about these things/think about it more". One can decide to take a good idea, work on it, think about it until you make it better. If you continue to work on the idea eventually you will get the best results. In the end, it will be called a GREAT idea.

Another mentor of mine likes using gold as an example. When gold is mined, it is found uncombined with impurities unless it is jammed between rocks (the good part), so all you need to do is to physically pick it or break the rock to obtain it. In the next step, gold has to be heated and  boiled so we remove impurities naked to the eye and also shape it into blocks/rings. During the heating and boiling step we make gold better, we refine it. Finally, we polish it (the best part) and shines like the Sun, from this moment only the best material can be combined with gold and that is DIAMOND. 

Again, one can take/think of an idea, work on it until the good becomes better and the better becomes BEST.
