Fear can rob you your dreams. Fear can keep you down. Fear will make you think you are not good enough to try anything or not courageous enough to overcome it. One thing I know about fear is that if you are scared to try something then it is likely that what you are scared of will set you free. Once you do it, you will achieve your ultimate freedom. Freedom from debt, freedom from illiteracy, freedom from pain, from hunger, from whatever that is holding you back.

Jack Canfield once said: EVERYTHING YOU WANT IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF FEAR. So you need courage to overcome the fear, you need courage to dismantle the fear. Choose courage over fear. Few years back I watched a movie titled "FIREPROOF" where a firefighter almost lost his marriage. Luckily his father encouraged him with these words "YOU HAVE COURAGE TO SAVE LIVES FROM THE FLAMES OF FIRE, PLEASE USE THE SAME COURAGE TO SAVE YOUR MARRIAGE". The bottom line from this story is that if you have courage to face fears from your workplace or from school or from home or even from the past,  surely you can use the same COURAGE to overcome problems elsewhere. Courage can almost restore peace within you, courage can control fear.

Nelson Mandela has this to say about fear:  I LEARNED THAT COURAGE WAS NOT THE ABSENCE OF FEAR, BUT THE TRIUMPH OVER IT. THE BRAVE PERSON IS NOT THE ONE WHO DOES NOT FEEL AFRAID, BUT THE ONE WHO CONQUERS THE FEAR.

HAVE COURAGE TO UNDERSTAND THE FEAR YOU ARE FACING, that way you can use courage as the shield against fear. If fear was a bullet, COURAGE would be the BULLETPROOF  and UNDERSTANDING will be the back up plan. Understanding the fear gives you LEVERAGE over the fear.
